I was fixing some barrels today and thought a few pics might save some money for someone. These are barrels on a CE. I had fixed the bottoms with plastidip a good while back. the bottoms are holding up great, but the sides were wearing thin. I cut a piece of treadmill rubber.smeared plastidip on the sides and applied the rubber strip inside the barrels. Just a couple minutes, hopefully good for a 100,000 miles. snuffy

I'm a fanatic about trying to repair, fix, glue things and gave up and just ordered new barrells for my AR-2. Even if I'd have been successful, the grit carryover contamination would have been difficult to avoid.

Have you ever tried Dap Weld for the glueing in of the rubber?
It may work better!
