Well, it's time to replace my blade again - I used it all up! I have a Husky 7" tile saw & I have been using a 7" Hot Dog on it. Thinking about a MK 303 instead. Is there any reason why I can't use an 8" blade? It looks like there would be room for one? ? Donnie

If the Husky is the Home Depot one an 8 inch blade will fit. I have an 8 inch on mine.....

Select an 8" blade as thick or thicker than your Husky. Lapidary blades tend to be thinner, and when handfeeding rock, the thicker blade helps avoid bending the blade. This will be important as you add an extra 1/2" from the center hole.
Also, 303 will cut smoother, but not last longer. SO consider that it might be 2x the cost of the HotDog. Smooth is less important if you plan to grind a cab.

Thanks - another thing to consider! Me thinks I need a trim saw, just a little 4" one for little trimming projects! Anybody got a used one? ??

Donnie, there is a 303C in 7" and it is thick too. As far as 4" trim saws I'll never use anything but an MK145 with a 4" 303C .020". At $130 list ($105 most Winter Sales) and available at a discount why buy used?
