Fancy Jasper is a term used as identification for two major Jaspers. One is what used to be known as Bloodstone Jaster from India and another for a multi colored Jasper from Brazil. This piece could be a non-typical piece of India Bloodstone but identifcation of a stone as Fancy Jasper is a very loose definition to start with and when the usual mix of stone variations from any given locality I would say that it could be Fancy Jasper from India but it also may not be.....

This looks mossy, so I would want to consider MauryMountain Moss Agate - b ut the outside of the 2nd pic does look like some fancy jasper

Doesn't appear like any of my Indian material. Looks more like Marsten Ranch Jasper from Oregon......Mel

OK, thanks, everybody. While I did see a Maury Mtn piece that was similar, after much scratching of head and pondering of google, I think I lean toward the Marston Ranch ID for the piece. I have found several pieces pictured online from that locality that look a lot like my piece...
