Hi Everyone! Been a while since I've done a contest, so here goes... We visited the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum the other day in McMinnville, OR. It's the home of Howard Hughes' plane, The Spruce Goose, which is HUGE. ...and here's a picture of the inside. Here's a pic of a Sopwith Camel. This was a thrill for me because this was the plane my grandfather flew in the first World War. These were the types of things we got to see... There was one exhibit that was rock related and so I thought it would make a good subject for this contest. Here is a little peek at what we saw. All you have to do is guess what this picture is of and you win! What do you win? How about a medium FRB of my Travel Tumble Rough Mix comprising of jasper, agate and various materials that I've picked up on my travels so far. There might be a few surprises added in to make it a nice prize for a lucky winner. First one who guesses it wins! Pretty simple, hopefully fun... so start guessing! Good Luck! Jo

Haha, Don... think "rock-related". P.S. Also wanted to add that some of the tumble rough pieces are suitable for cutting and cabbing. We need some more guesses here... put your thinking caps on!

Possibly part of one of the lunar or mars landers, designed to pick up rock samples. But just think of all of the rocks you could haul home in the Spruce Goose. LOL

It's the mining aparatus from an alien spacecraft that was picked up in Roswell after the "weather balloon" crashed. No? How about the lunar machine that collected rocks?

Is it part of the "Russian Photon Space Capsule"?
Mechanical arm for picking up samples?

Nope... You've all been agonizingly close though.
I'm looking for two words that were the title on the sign for the exhibit. The first word has been mentioned by Brian. Now I'm looking for the second word. I gave a clue in my last post in this thread.
Somebody's gonna get it soon... keep guessing.

When the Astronauts went rock collecting, they used moon ________ . (first word has been said)
Think simple... think duh!
