Well, let's try a more scientiffic approach: you clearly didn't throw more shoes than needed to accomodate Tony's shoes. Now, let's think, how many pairs of shoes can a man have? Seven to ten at most, let's say. So 8.5 on average. Now, a space needed for a pair of Tony's shoes equals the space needed for one and a half pairs of yours, so you got rid of 8.5 x 1.5 = 12.75 pairs of shoes. I won't round it up to 13 'cause it's bad luck, so you surely get rid of 12.5 pairs of shoes. Now, what it remained, must be way over this amount and I'd say you still have 65 pairs of shoes. About the space for Tony, if he has some other space too, I think 23 inches would be enough for him. Adrian

more than 200!!! Amber! Do you realise how many rocks would fit in this space??? ;D I have to re-think all my computations. A closet big enough to accomodate over 200 pairs of shoes is BIG! So the space for Tony is also rather big, I think. So, 65.5 pairs thrown, 173 pairs remained, 5 feet 3 inches space for Tony Adrian PS. WOW! Over 200! I cannot picture a pile of shoes as big!

This has been so fun to read although Amber gave too big of a clue. I have to say I was astounded by the number of shoes she had and I had seen her closets before. I should have taken a picture of the pile of shoes when it was sitting out in the hallway. It prevented us from using the bathroom for several hours. lol

Oh my! Well, you did say you loved shoes before Amber. I would guess you got rid of 85 pr and kept 140. I would say you still kept about 42" for Tony to use for his clothes. ;D Fran

Well now this is getting close!!! Thought you might need a little entertainment! Here are the shoes that are kept but not in the main closet, they still count. I call these the infrequently worn shoes! These are fancy dinner, hope you dont have to get up and pee shoes! After 2 knees surgeries I am thinking they would be put to better use on Ralph for Maryann's entertainment!!!! I can see him cabbing in lavender rhinestones! These are the $100 Merrell Moab hiking shoes, got them cause we were going to Moab, LOL, still have the Moab dirt on them! Not much use for them when Tony is perfectly capable of picking up dirty rocks, LOL Ahhh my favorite! The sneaker! Last time these were worn we played tennis and I had tennis elbow for 6 months, LOL Other than that, not much use for sneeks!Judging by the size of my fat ass you know why still snow white, LOL Keep guessing some of you are very warm!!!!!!!!! Hey Amber, I'm hopping in late & there are 2 pages worth of #'s to go through to make sure I don't guess what's already been guessed.
So I'm writing the #'s down and they all are beginning to sound like very strange measurements for a woman or a secret quarterback code. lol
The heck with it, here goes
75 125 46
tossed, kept inches, hut, hut, hut.

Oh the handbags. KD had to go and bring up the frigging handbags. Those are in a completely different closet, the "office" closet. That's what she calls the 3rd bedroom in her house. Its an office as it has a desk chair and computer in it but that's where the office part ends. Its also her beautifying room as she has her vanity in there. As well as my daughter's bedroom when she visits, there is a futon in the room too. Oh and can't forget the bookcase and a couple of small tables and floor lamps..... But I digress, the closet, its always about the closets. Admittedly I've been in this closet. I've always tried to keep my eyes focused on what I needed and not look around. Well this past weekend I made the mistake of actually "looking" at what was in the closet. It wasn't until then that I realized that there weren't any dresses in the two closets in her, er I mean, our bedroom. Think of all the shoes she had. Now envision two, maybe three dresses for every pair of shoes, all crammed into 8'-0" of space. I shudder just at the memory of it. Now where was I going? Oh yea, the purses. Surprisingly there weren't that many. Maybe 40 or 50. lol I love you sugs.

OMG Hun that just made me roll!!!! Yeah we didnt talk about the dreaded beauty products, I could have easily bathed, shampooed and perfumed a small country! But I am cleaning out! It is like you need 50 hair products its like a recipe which combo will give you a good hair day? You gotta mix it up and then when you do get that rare good hair day, you forget what you used! Anyway here is the closet not yet organized, hard to get a pic of the whole thing, but you get the gist! there is a section of handbags there that fall out on me when I open the door so now I leave the door open it extends into the computer table that I cant use cause it is laden with other stuff that flows into the vanity, LOL
