Jade isn't the only beautiful thing in Wyoming...here is a handfull of snapshots I took of Wyoming's natural beauty...hope you enjoy.... Beautiful Wyoming sunset.... Another one, over a frozen lake ice fishing with the kids.... slim pickings for the horses during a Wyoming winter.... Pathfinder Reservoir spilling over the dam causeway this year...first time it's done that since 1984...incredible amount of water discharge.... Pine tree growing out of the Jade field's granite boulders.... Woodchopper Creek in the Medicine Bow wilderness.... The view from highway 135 on the western edge of the Jade fields...you can make out the Wind River mountain range some 70 miles distant.... Ice heave at Boysen Reservior Ice fishing Boysen Reservior at dusk...actual unenhanced photo...no blue filter or photoshop....

Gosh, I feel like I have been viewing the travel channel. I especially like the pine tree growing in the granite in the jade field. The scenery is wonderful. Tanya

Oh so gorgeous! We only spent one night in Wyoming this trip, near Cody. Oh my, it was so beautiful, and the people were so welcoming, friendly and nice... we wish we could have spent more time there (we were on our way to meet our kids in Yellowstone). Love the ice fishing photo. Thanks for sharing these. Jo

How come when I'm driving through Wyoming I only see sagebrush.... Only Joking Mike! You have captured some beautiful shots. The Winter shots look very cold...and I know how cold it can get there in the winter. Done many months working in Wyoming winters. The Ice Sheets and the Overflow pics are my favs! Thanks for sharing. Did you feel the winter chill in the air this morning?? Steve

How come when I'm driving through Wyoming I only see sagebrush.... Only Joking Mike! Actually, we don't give directions to the nice places to the out-of-staters, particularly those from Utah and Nebraska...lol Kidding...one thing about Wyoming is that the bulk of the interstate miles here, I-80 in particular, go through some of the most desolate and least scenic areas of the state...which has the advantage of keeping the beautiful areas reletively unkonwn to out-of-staters...that way all they see is sagebrush wasteland and they don't want to move here! LOL Yeah, it was cold this morning...it's coming...the pictures from Boysen were a very cold day...35 below zero after the sun went down, high of 10 below at noon...lol thanks for the comments all...

We will have to meet sometime next year. Dicky sunset from Sweetwater, WY and of course my corundium - ruby from Palmer Canyon Iron Mountain
