Dang, that's some purty stuff. I like the green flecks - I think they add interest to a piece. Of course, jade afficionados want only "perfect" jade, so I guess that makes me somewhat of a rube, but hey - if it weren't for that, I'd be darn near perfect! LOL!

That is some pretty stuff. I also like the specks in it as well as the variation of color!

I had never heard of that before. I probably would have assumed that it was aventurine and been totally wrong. It sure is beautiful!!! Fran

The Jade Store in Victoria had material (mostly finished) from 4 different mines/locations they owned. One was polar jade. All had names. The local rockhound shop had various BC jade, of various quality, one called Happy Cloud jade, and when the jade had bright green flecks it was designated chrome jade.
The downtown store store was getting $50/lb and sold by the gram. I bought a few pieces with real clean area on my trip in June. This time I just bought form the rockhound store and it was much much less than $50/lb. I would say more like $15. I got the chunk above 2 lbs (maybe a little less) for about $33.

Cool! That almost looks like Maw Sit Sit from Burma.

I'm not a jade guy, but I'd be tempted to buy a slab of that too. Don
