Depends on if you're using it. With use, it will break down into finer grit. If not, the stuff will outlive you in a closed container. Don

Hmmm, not exactly sure what you mean. Silicon Carbide grit is pretty inert, so you don't need to worry about it over time. I suppose it might clump together if it got wet, but a little time in a tumbler with rocks would break it up.

Silicon carbide exists outside of space/time so it does not age. So in addition to Twinkies and cockroaches, after we're all gone silicon carbide will remain...
