Wayne, Remove the motor, and if possible take it apart for a good cleaning. If it can't be taken apart then blow it out with an air hose. There should be holes above each end of the motor shaft. Put a couple of drops of light machine oil in each hole. Lay the motor on a work surface and plug it in. Let it run for a few minutes to work the oil into the bearings. Unplug it and put one more drop of oil in each oil hole and spin the motor by hand. Before you put the motor back in the machine, check the shafts that the tumbler barrel rides on. they should turn freely and without any sloppiness. If they seem tight, you may have to take them apart and clean them too. Put everything back together, put on the belt and plug it in. It should run now. Then fill the barrel with rocks and water, and see if the tumbler will turn the barrel. Good luck. Don

Wayne, while you are following Don's excellent advice, clean the shafts with alcohol, removing all old oil. Add just one drop to lubricate. My Thumler does exactly the same thing when the shafts are either over-oiled or under-oiled.
