After building my flat lap, I let the tumbler fall to the wayside. Well, that's no way to treat the machine that got me into this hobby in the first place, so I finally got the ambition up to run another batch.
The ol' Thumler has been sitting for quite a while, so I went back to my roots and ran a batch of jasper picked outta the landscaping around the house. I wanted to make sure if it crapped out on me (yeah, I know better lol) I wouldn't have a half finished batch of something "more important" sitting around.
Anywho, here's the whole batch in a pretty bowl my Wife gave me. I snuck in a few little pieces of Boysenberry Jasper too.
I think it could have had another week or 2 in rough, and prolly more pellets would have cut down on the impact fractures, but all in all I'm satisfied.
There's some cool orby pieces, some that look almost mossy, and a few that almost resemble (to me at least) Owyhee.
