Hey All, There is a gemshow being held at Howard County Fairgrounds, in MD on 9/25 and 26, 2010. It is easy to get to, it is between Frederick Md, and Baltimore, MD, On Interstate 70. West from Baltimore, or East from Frederick. You can google Howard County Fairgrounds for directions or show info. I think its $5 bucks to get for adults. If anyone is thinking of making the trip either Saturday or Sunday let me know so we can meet up, or just meet if I haven't met you The show is put on by The Gemcutters Guild of Baltimore. They do a lot of classes in the Fall. You can also google them. Take Care all, Hope to see you there. Ed

Just my luck, I'll be hitting MD the weekend after this for a business trip Oh well, I don't think Gaithersburg is very close to that area anyway. Have fun Ed and Fran, post pics of what you find there! ;D

Hey Ed,
I missed seeing you there today. Had my son go with me and we left David home to work on some projects for work... I will post some slab pictures in slabs later but I have to say, there were a lot of beautiful cabs and jewelry. The fossils were fantastic and they even had slabs at about 8 vendors. Problem was, most of the vendors were charging a fortune for their slabs! That is not to say they weren't worth the money, just much more than I wanted to spend on some of them! I did get some small bargains. I could only get one person to give me a deal on the last day of their admittedly low attendance show. I still enjoyed it though. Fran

I am glad you found the bargains, it was too much for me on Saturday, except for a few well priced hand tools and a small polisher. I really need to follow you at the next show, you can find the good stuff. Ed
