I have some round beads that are made of solid conch shell material that I need to polish and hope to do so by tumbling. What abrasive medium should I use? They are already shaped and only need polishing. Thanks! Nancy

I've never worked with shell beads, but being such a soft material, I'd say go straight into polish with plenty of plastic pellets to cushion them. I'd use a light colored polish, as something like cerium oxide might stain them. Don
