Here's a few pictures of the material I just got out of the tumble. It is a wide assortment of material, The Holley Blue comes from Oregon, The Woodard Ranch is of course from Texas. The dark agate came from the Stillwell Ranch, near Big Bend National Park. Holley Blue Woodward Ranch Stillwell Ranch Moss not sure where it came from but love the shine Turlingua Texas This came from area NW of Mcdermit. Only found a few pieces of this. It"s pretty soft and shine is matted but I think it is neat with all grain in it t Pretty sure this is from the Woodward Ranch, love the shine Well I hope you all enjoy. Thanks for looking. Glenn

That Moss Agate is beautiful with an awesome shine. The pattern in the McDermit is really special.

Wow, nice batch! I'm really interested in the matte one as I have found something similar. Is it almost chalklike? Light weight? I cabbed mine, was surprised it held up, and haven't gotten to the polish stage yet.

Susan, I am sitting here looking at a piece of that material. For it's size I wouldn't call it light weight, it does have a "chalky" feel to the rough stone. After slabbing it, the surface is smooth and shiney. I am just starting to learn how to make cabs, so I don't have a lot of experience. I did make a cab out of this stuff. It is somewhat soft and grids easily. The material is the same throughtout. By that I mean there no softer or harder spots in the stone. It makes a pretty cab. I have not tried to polish my cab either, but the piece from the tumbler shows that the results will probably be that matted look. The piece in the picture was in the tumbler for about 2 1/2 months and it volume was reduce by about 1/3

That's a great selection and a great finish. I like that matted finished rock also. There are some rocks that actually look better with a nice 500 grit finish. Great Job.
