Awesome haul Daniel! That first rhyolite is outrageous. Very nice nice of that Chinese crinoidal limestone too. The dark black matrix stuff is getting hard to find....Mel

Mel, I wanted that particular chunk because of the clear black vein. I can use that effectively.

Oh, man! What a haul! I'm jealous - we get 1 show a year here, and there's usually not a lot of rough available at it. Wish I could go out west and go to all those shows out there. I'd be broke in about 10 minutes! LOL!
That starburst is amazing stuff! Will you cab it, or is it just for specimens? And the snakeskin - wow! That's RED! I look at that spiderweb and see dozens of almost psychedelic pendants. But the last batch - I only have 2 words: Good Golly!

I put some pics under members photos of stuff I picked up there I just checked your Denver thread on the photo section. I saw this one: which seems to be some of the Gold Leaf Jasper, but I did not see the Starburst. Did I miss another thread?

Thanks Daniel, there is never any rush. I thought perhaps that was what you were referring to as the Crinoid marble. I swear it looks just like letters spilt all over it. Pretty neat!

Daniel, only took pics of some of my rocks but I do remember it didn't look as great on the outside. Did you get yours from gem center usa? I've got no idea why I thought I needed 120lbs of gold leaf.

Well, the two larger pieces I did not photograph do not look this nice on the outside either. I selected them because they felt heavier than other pieces the same size, and I was hoping for greater silicificitation.
Yes, I did get them from GemCenterUSA.
... and .. OMG ... 120lbs of Gold Leaf? I sure hope they gave you a break on the $10/lb price with that kind of quantity.

Wow, that starburst is fantastic! The Tiffany is just perfect to do something you enjoy so much: framing cool scenes. The spider web also fits for that. Excellent aquisitions, that Denver show must have been a great deal, but this was until you visited it, of course Adrian
