Since I got a new blade for the 10" saw, I've been cutting. But I didn't realize just how MUCH I've been cutting with it! Tonight I decided to gather all the slabs I've done in the last couple weeks and inventory them. Holy moly.
I pretty much filled the dining room table twice with them, and I know this isn't all of them - there are several more scattered here and there in the house and garage.
Table 1
2 flavors of blue slag
Some that I think is moonstone from Jo "Naturenut"
Some Arizona pet wood and some agate that resembles Montana agate
Don't exactly know what this is, but it's pretty darn neat looking:
A big ol hunk of rhodonite - this isn't all of it, couldn't put my finger on the rest of it right now.
Mariposite - again, this isn't the whole thing
A little bit of tiger eye
Some red jasper
Most of this one is still in the saw - don't know what it is, but I like it.
Some pretty funky wonderstone
And some sorta pink/red/salmon slag
--------------------
Table 2
--------------------
Sickly green slag and some really interesting jasper, maybe pigeon blood, maybe something called elephant stone, I just don't know.
More red jasper and more moonstone - this might be Montana moonstone I got from Tim "Spokanetim.
Moonstone, mariposite, some sort of agate? and another rhodonite
Something resembling moonstone, but with much more veins, some purple agate from Clint "Stoneviews", and some purple/lavender slag - I have no clue what the green/lavender/navy blue striped one is - feels like jade, but ....
And (I guess I'll call this honorable mention) some green slag
Maybe it's time to let the saw rest for a bit, and get back to cabbing and wrapping - what do you think? LOL!
Hope y'all liked the show. If I mis-named something, please, please do correct me!
