I am planning my trip to Az. I am hoping to be able to sell at the Mesa show, but even if that doesn't work out, I am still taking the trip. If anyone along the route would like to get together, let me know. If there is a possability of collecting geodes in Utah, or thunder eggs in Colorado, that would determine my route. I am planning to leave here right after Xmas and hopefully able to be away for almost 20 days.

I'd say to come through western South Dakota on your way south, and I'd hook you up with some friends to take you hunting for Fairburn agates, but I'm afraid at that time of year the weather won't be favorable for getting out in the grasslands. Don

Might have to save that for a summer trip. I do collect in the winter from construction sites. A couple years ago I collected some petrified wood and agate from the landscape rock at a motel in Bismarck. We will see what kind of winter we get.

Will do. We all try to get reservations at the same campground in Custer State Park. It's centrally located to the best rockhounding in South Dakota. Don

Hi Brent, You are welcome to come & visit me too. I'm a little farther north from Phoenix in the Verde Valley, but I know some excellent agate, rainbow petrified wood, & other collecting areas to go to.

My spot at the Flagg show in Mesa is spoken for, and the money is on the way. I am so excited. Can't wait to get back to Arizona. It will be a big showing of the new material I found.

Isn't the Flagg show in January? If so you have to check out Quartzite and maybe come for a visit at Cloud's on the way back North. We are there form Jan 1st until the end of Jan. when we go to Tucson.

Yes Cloud's is at the AVI Casino RV park across the river from Fort Mohave/Bullhead City. It is about 10-15 miles North of Needles and about the same South of Laughlin, NV. The show is in a No-Man's land on Indian nation land where CA and NV meet so NO SALES TAX!!! At least no one collects it.
As far as Tucson, we will be at the TEP (Electric Park) show with Barranca Diamond for at least the first week of the show. It is an outer row tent near the big Peru Minerals tent. There are guides at front of show, just look for Barranca Diamond. We will hopefully be doing the same thing at Denver next year.
