I recieved a message from someone needing to know about a stone, and since I am no expert at ID'ing stones, I thought maybe someone here could help me out with possibilities.
This is the message I recieved: "I have a question about rocks /stones. Someone came to me and asked me "could I get them a lava stone..?" I said "What does that look like?" She said" It is red and yellow and the one she have seen was highly polished" I have since been looking for this "stone" and have found none matching her description. As you probably know, I have seen black/gray and red/pink coloured lava stone but nothing like what she has asked for. Here is my thought. I asked her again if she may have gotten the name wrong and she said no . So I have since found out that this stone was part of one of these spiritual healing programs and simply ...Could it be a completely different stone with a made up name? The stone she likes so much resembles fire, earth and volcano. It is red ,with bits of brown fleck and a yellow vein running through it. I have seen stones of this colour on e-bay and a variety of other sites, it's nothing real special although very beautiful. Do you have any ideas? Do you agree with me, that it could be a "made up" type name and stone to fit with the spiritual program or do you know of such a stone?"
Thanks for any and all possibilities or thoughts on this!! Marie

One possibility would be Kramer Hills golden jasper. Some of our members who live near Barstow, California may be able to get some for you. All I have are 4 small cabs from material I collected back in the early 90's. I want those for specimens. Don
