Howdy folks, Dogsitting for a buddy today so I had to hang around the house. Took the time to cut a few slabs off the stuff I dug out of the gravel pile yesterday. Thanks for lookin.....Mel The dark devil's toenails. Actually turned out to be flint with shells and unbelievably hard stuff. Thought it was going to stop the saw for sure but it managed to struggle through these three slabs. I was hoping it would be more black and white but I love fossils that polish so I'll just hack a freeform from the darker parts. close up: The red moss nodule. Pretty stuff but definitely one cab wonders I'll have to freeform:

I can see that both stones are going to produce some beautiful cabs! I love the vibrant reds and the dark with shells will really shine so well! Great slabs Mel! Fran

Beautiful slabs! Slicing through rocks is sort of like the ultimate treasure hunt: you never know what you'll find!
