i have a st 10 lortone what would be a good blade that want break the bank its got one that has the crimps around it dont like it leves marks on the slabs and do they all cut realy slow

If you cool with oil like I do, the MK 303 continuous rim blade is hard to beat. Cuts so smooth the slabs almost look lapped. Usually runs about $80 or so but cuts fast and lasts a long while. The MK 301 continuous rim is even better and more long lasting but costs over $100. I'm running the much cheaper MK Criterion right now and though it cuts OK and lasts well, it leaves a much rougher slab surface......Mel

thanks the power feed runs so slow takes for ever to cut a three inch rock takes 20 or 30 min

Slow is good. The slower the cut the longer your blade will last and generally the cuts will be smoother. Barranca (lapidary division of MK) has the same blades exactly as Mel mentioned. They will have them on Winter Sale starting end of November through April 1st normally. With the power feed you would want the .040" (153696 for 303C).
