Excellent. You've got it down now. A totaly different style, but still your style. How long did that take you to make?

Thanks everyone! Amy- this took me about 9 hours to do....lots and lots of little areas to weave in there, but worth it in the end I think.
Thanks again all!!! Marie

It does look worth the effort. If you were to sell it, what would you sell it for? More than your other quicker ones with less wire I hope?

This is listed in my Etsy shop for 79.99....hoping I am not asking too much for it...I dunno, guess we'll see what happens huh? I only ask like 35-40 for most of my stuff, but these intricate weaves just take forever to do, so feel like they are worth a bit more. Pricing is always a guessing game for me. I have people constantly telling me I am way too cheap, and should be charging more, even had someone kinda yell at me cuz they couldn't compete w/my prices...well, I am not in it to get rich, I just wanna make enough to feed my hobby, and maybe a little "extra" for supplies and stuff....

well I would say you're definitely selling yourself short there. $10/hr should be minimum anyone gets paid for doing any job. When you figure in supplies (22ga sq @ $20 oz for silver is $.99 ft) overhead (have to pay for space) and fees for shows and or internet you really should be charging $20. I would never yell at someone for their "hobby" but when people are trying to make a living doing the same not charging what it's really worth is doing them a disservice. Course on the other hand look at made in china where people only get paid pennies a day.

Oh I think that is a very fair price. Your time and the material used. It's a bargain! And it's beautifully done.

I charge from $35.00 to $65.00 for my wraps depending on the stone and the wire. Of course it is good to test the market. I agree with selling this one for $79.99 and if it sells right away, I'd charge more for the next one. That's just my 2 cents. You can do whatever you want.
It is a gorgeous piece. Actually if that was my first one using that technique, I would probably not sell it. So I could compare it to my pieces a year from now.

22 feet of wire? Damn. lol.... Very cool, it's awesome work. Honestly, I liked your older stuff better. Don't get me wrong, that's a beautiful piece but I think that the wire might over-power the stone. I really love your previous designs.

Holy moly Marie, that's a lot of wire. That is a beautiful stone and the wire work is amazing but the two together seem to detract from each other. Does that make sense? Guess I like the simple stuff too.
