It's not a cab, but it's a good Halloween rock anyway. It's a large and unusual chalcedony rose my wife found and almost threw away. Don

I haven't had a chance to cab in over a month so I won't be able to enter. Little hint for those that weren't here for last years competition, the had a significant amount of carving. Good luck to all those who enter.

I would be classified as a beginner, less than a year at cabbing, but it's not the right shape....I still couldn't resist posting this spooky looking face on this cab. Positively creepy. It don't matter if it doesn't count for the contest, but this is the first time I have "found" something in a cab, so I am kinda excited about that. Cab is 1 3/4" tall x 1" wide and 6mm thick

Friends, you won't believe what happened to me! A couple of evenings ago, I was opening a bottle of wine. But, once the cork removed, some smoke begun to emerge out of the bottle! And, as this wouldn't had been enough, a rocky ghost popped out of the bottle, along with that mysterious smoke! Now, I know it's hard to believe it, but have a look: And that's not all: that rocky ghost told me: "Adrian, as you see, I am already cabbed. I stay in this bottle since 2007, when this wine was poured inside so I think I would qualify for the advanced section of the Halloween contest organized on RTH by Dan! Pretty PLEASE!!!"Well, who am I to say no, so I took a couple of pictures of it and here it is: Good luck in the contest, buddy!

I was looking through some slabs that a friend gave me, and found one with the outline of a rabbit with large ears. When you stand the rabbit up, the slab shows an underwater scene of a ghost shark chasing ghost fish through sea weed and rocks. It's not a cab, and never will be. This one will be polished and displayed as is. I'll post pics later when the fog burns off and sun comes out. Don Here's the ghost shark, chasing ghost fish.

If it was a cab, I'd enter it. Just threw it in here for the fun of it.

I entered this one last year and then withdrew because of lack of time. Gonna try again. I hardly consider my work as advanced but I've been doing it a while, so advanced it is. East Texas Petrified Wood Curt

Definitely some great Halloween cabs.
Don, your Halloween rock screams Halloween. And the ghost shark is really neat.
Since I am barely even a beginner, I think my cabs would be scary enough even without any Halloweenie imagine in them. And, yes, I h ave made a couple, but after finding the camera, I discovered it had a dead battery. Gotta get a new one.

Advanced Category. Laguna Agate Agate TreatsThe moon was a yellow globe illuminating the dark night'Twas October 31, the hallowed evening of fright. What I was seeking was truly elusive, an object of beauty with markings exclusive.Amazing slabs of color with fortification banding, some translucent or parrallex,More desirable than any Halloween candy, heck, even better than sex! With a sack full of loot, I approached the last house on the block, There was no answer to my doorbell ringing, so I decided to knock.I rapped loudly on the door, when suddenly it swung open wideNot a person appeared, but something beckoned me insideThere on a table sat a large bowl filled with the treasure I soughtMy heart lept for joy, this trick-or-treating had not at all been for naught.Agate slabs and slabs of Agate, true Heaven for this Agate lickerMy blood ran hot, my palms grew wet, as I tried to slow my ticker. How could I choose the perfect Agate when I wanted every single one?I never realized that trick-or-treating could be so fun!But one it would be, so I reached in my hand and scrabbled aboutAnd pulled out this beauty, the finest Agate in the bowl, no doubt!
