I forgot to post this last week but our show is this weekend if anyone is in the Charlotte/Gastonia, NC area and looking for a good family event. Free admission and parking with lots of vendors and good material from specimens to cutting rough to finished jewelry and even a bead booth. One gentleman is selling a life long collection of rare Hiddenite, N.C. area minerals that are absolutely spectacular. He has several REAL HIDDENITE crystals that are nearly 2" long and under $1,000.- a real bargain for this very rare material. He also has lots of great stuff for those on a smaller budget like me. I got a small emerald, 3 tiny Hiddenite crystals and close to 20 red rutile needles for under $70.00! He has an emerald pendant from the site where Jamie Hill found the huge foot long emerald crystals that is stunning, but a little pricey for me. Great fun for the family including a sluice for the kids to bucket mine. Not a lot of Brazil material but lots of agate, chert and quartz of all colors that is better in my opinion. Come on out!!
