This is something new I found in east of McDermitt Nevada, which I am calling Mystique Lace agate due to the circumstances and a hunch. I was actually looking for a long lost thunderegg location when I decided to take a different approach through a canyon and found large pieces at the bottom of the canyon I then worked my way up the canyon wall were I discovered several seams. I did eventually find the thunderegg location, which was about 100 yards further up on top of the ridge. It is a very old claim, and because of the proximity of the agate it is possible it was known to the lapidary world at one time or maybe very little was taken out. I have yet to find any references and if anyone knows please let me know. I do have some slabs on sale if you are interested.
