Some days just don't seem to go right! I dropped a picture jasper slab and shattered it trying to catch it (only made it hit the ground harder). Then I pulled a batch out of the burnish in my UV 10, only to find that a lot had chipped in the burnish (must have had too much water in it) Then I set up my tile saw to cut out a ton of preforms that I had drawn. Started out OK only to burn the motor up. Half way through a cut, the blade stops. I pull the slab away and it starts again but at a slower pace. I turned it off for an hour and then tried it again. Stops as soon as it touches anything and then smoke started coming out of the sealed compartment. GRRRRRR! Anybody else have days like that?

I don't know what's so special about that smoke, but as soon as it escapes the motor just never seems to run right again.

My tile saw motor is getting week. The blade always seem to outlive the motors.

You all are so sweet! Well, at least the day is almost over. I went to sears and didn't see a wet saw in stock. I just don't have the money yet for a 10" saw so tile saws will have to do. I may just go to Lowes or Home Depot tomorrow and see what they have in stock. I was afraid to touch the cabber today and have decided to wait till tomorrow to be on the safe side. Don't need that breaking down on me! The silver lining to it all....I pulled a bunch of my preforms and cabs yesterday from the vibe and decided to wash them by hand and dry them off so they didn't go through the vibe burnish. They, at least, look good. I am not touching the camera until tomorrow either so I will get pictures up then. Fran

I think we've all had one of those days Fran. Some of us more than others...but hopefully the Rock Gods will open up the skies...and beautiful rocks will come falling down upon you, equipment will work like magic, and Your Smile will once again turn Upwards! God that sounds corny... ;D ;D It would be cool if that happened though... Steve

Hmmm Steve, Maybe it would be better if the rock Gods showed me where the rocks were instead of them showering down. Makes me think of roof repairs ;D So far, today seems much better. Haven't broken anything yet (knock on wood!). Fran
