I have spent most of this year learning a different type of wire wrapping thanks to a New York artist Sal Villano, he specialises in wire wrapped tree sculptures and his work is really cool.
I have made trees in varying sizes up to about 3 feet tall now using copper, brass and aluminimum wire, but recently I gave myself a challenge.
I have to admin I am bit of a Lord of the Rings fan and I wondered if I could wire wrap an Ent, initially he looked a bit like a Peperami with arms and legs, but a bit more thinking and work got me to where I wanted to be, now he has leaves, a face and beard.
Would love your comments, I know he has turned a few heads at some recent craft fairs where he has been exhibited.
