This might have been posted already, but if not here goes. After they come off the saw, I squeegee the oil off of them with a piece of flat rubber and wipe with a rag. Then place them in a bucket of sawdust. Next day they are oil free.

Kitty litter works good too. With the mineral oil, I let them sit outside in the sun and dust for a few days. The suns heat brings the oil to the surface, and dust in the air soaks it up. ( I live on a gravel road, so always plenty of dust ).

My slabs are not that big as I only have a 10" saw, so I rag off the oil from the slab and put them in a tray with soapy water. This seems to work pretty good. Is soapy water not a good thing to use ? The rocks that I cut mostly are fine grained and don't seem to soak up the oil. I certainly like your sawdust,(have plenty of that) and road dust ideas...

I've put a load of slabs through the dishwasher. Of course I rinsed them off first so I wouldn't be putting all that muck into the plumbing.
Please don't tell my wife.

Go to the Dollar Store and buy a bottle of dish washing soap. Any color. Put in a plastic bucket one gallon of water and the whole bottle of soap. Drop your slabs from your saw into the bucket for a few minutes or until the mixture will no longer cover your slabs. Rinse with water and your oil is gone. If your like me and want to look a little closer dip your slab rub with finger and dip in water. This method will clean about fifty slabs. I have tried it all and this works best for me. Rocpup
