One of my creeks I fossil hunt on has a lot of antique glass and an occassional whole bottle. I've often thought of picking it up and tumbling it, but then I ask myself WHY?

From what I understand the value is in the age of the glass & what nature has done to it. To throw in the tumbler would be devaluing. At least that is what they say! Wouldn't hurt to pick it up & start collecting it. You might find someone who would be interested in what you have!

There is a Glass Beach at Fort Bragg, California.....The ocean has encroached on an old dump and there is tons of beach glass...
