These first 3 are from slabs I purchased from Tom krueger - and could not be happier!! I like to do something other than Lakers.............once in awhile... ;D So what is this first one? Light pink & grey...probably a 6 mohs or so...It is purty tho!!! And took a stupendous shine Mariposite Moss Agate - maybe from a Thunderegg?? And of course a few Lakers ;D Can't seem to help myself so that's today's trials Thanks for lookin'!! Marie

Your unknown that you think may be a thunderegg looks to be Arizona Petrified wood to me.

Marie, I am so glad you can't seem to resist the Lakers. They are just so stunning. Great job on all and really nice shine especially on the Lakers.

I really like the shape and banding of the first laker. The camera does show everything. Maybe try a different polish and see if the scratches go away.

Thanks guys..... I was thinkin I would take them back in ther to the 600 wheel...see if i can get rid of those scratches today. Then maybe re-polish them.... I love doin' the Lakers, some would probably frown on me cuttin them, but ya know, they are my rocks, that I found....so why not? right? I love them, they always amaze me with the patterns you find in there...even the teeniest little agates have all those bands, just blows me away!! lol Thanks again!!! Marie

Marie, First of all...there is no shame in cutting up Lakers! I cut all my agate nodules...too hard to resist...and YES!!! They are your rocks...do what makes you feel happy and is fun to you. I feel the same way that I should do something different than what everyone is used to seeing from me...but my Love is Agates!!! Sure I will do other material...and I enjoy it all...but the colors, bandings, designs in a cool agate just put me in awe. Love those last 2 Lakers. Great shapes in all...and when you figure out how to take pics without showng all the tiniest scratches...let me know. I have the same problem! Steve

Thanks guys...really...cuz sometimes I get these little notes from people saying stuff like "save it....." I dont cut anything larger than a 4 ouncer....yet....I have a few on the shelf in there that I just cannot bring myself to cut yet, bigger ones. I got a note like that about the 7 lb chunk of Binghamite I have, and I put it for sale...but I priced it high enough no one will probably buy it...so I am not sure what the problem is. Steve....I just looooove agates, not just Lakers either....ALL of them they just BLOW ME AWAY!!!! amazing rocks Thanks everyone - b-4 I could even take them back in to the 600 wheel, had someone want to buy them.....too cool!!!

Beautiful, my favorites are the moss and the last laker. The fact you plan to get them back on the 600 wheel shows exigence to yourself, which is good. I bet those scratches are at most barely visible with the naked eye; as Steve said before, the camera reveals all the scratches, no matter how tiny.

No, not found around here. And it was softer too....has a tiny bit of a "glittery" appearance to the pink area. Thanks everyone!!!
