Dang Brian those are great finds! I'd especially be hiking up that wash to find where the green plumy agate came from. That one looks really interesting.....Mel

The rock magnet strikes again! This time they couldn't wait for you to go collect them... the rocks came to you! Those are some real beauties, especially those moss-lookin ones and that brown and tan sagenite dude. That last one awesome!
Man, rocks love you! Every other post is..."Look, I was just driving down the road minding my own business and look what I found (insert a classic Beef tailgate pic with gobs of the beautiful rocks)" My favorite is "I went to the store for eggs and came back with 20 pounds of rocks I found in a creek by the parking lot!" ;D Steve

Thanks everyone! Yeah I've been blown away that there's some beauties like this within walking distance of home. Mel I'm hoping to come across more of that green plume, or even source it. From the maps there's two distinct hills a few miles away that these washes are coming from.. or at least passing by. I've got lots more exploring to do! ;D
Rocklicker you crack me up LOL!

Donnie, I dont know exactly what qualifies as a wash in that area, but a wash around mine could be a small creek, washout,a low area where the soil has been washed out, leaving rocks, draw, gully,as in gullywasher, heavy rain, some areas call 'em cricks, I believe ;D. You get the picture.

I never thought about the lack of washes elsewhere Snuff's got it down.. basically a small dry river bed where the flash floods get to run every now and then
