You did a great job, those are beautiful, but be careful as this is an addictive habit. I started with a 1.5E Lortone, added a CE twin 3 lb barrels (which died very quickly), added a used Lortone 33B which has been running continuously since March with only occasional cleaning and oiling. Then added a Thumlers Model B 15 lber. My son rebuilt the CE with Lortone parts and they are all running all the time. I love this and it sounds like you do as well. Always like Christmas when opening a tumbler and it's always great to have others addicted.

It is addictive... I was a cabber for a few years and I wondered what was the craze about tumbling cant be that much fun in it.......put a bunch of broken rocks in a barrel let them roll around for a month or more... come on what is the fun in that . Well when my back got so bad that I could no longer stand to make one cab without taking a pain pill I had to stop cabbing...
So I thought what the heck get you a tumbler and tumble all the rocks you have collected, so I did that, And now I am hooked I only have one tumbler running right now but it is a 35lber And have been collecting up parts to build one of my own. So yes be careful you will be as sick as the rest of us you will catch a case of..... The tumble fever.....and you can not get rid of it either.... But this will be the first time you was sick and enjoyed it LOL...
And by the you did great with that batch, And as for as the Emory Iolux goes ... I have never used it before..

thanks guys, i am having as much fun with the collecting as i am with the tumbling. and the whole family is getting into that part so its great we all go out collecting together. also, even in this short time i think i'm getting the knack for what to collect as my second batch is way cooler just based on material. Due to being impatient i am using a vibe for the whole process, and still on my second batch i came out of rough too early. i promised myself at least 10 days on current batch three instead of 7. that means sunday....sigh...

Yeah I know but I have it setup so I can just roll the barrel off and set it upright.... And I have three sons that live with me so I get plenty of help..

You obviously have a Raytech. They provide the Iolox in their grit kits. I think it is a prepolish. I've never heard of it anywhere else so guessing it isn't critical for agates/jaspers. A good (cheap) prepolish is tripoli. It helps with softer materials and can shorten polish cycles.
