I am constantly having folks tell me I don't charge enough for my Pendants. Weeshan inspired me to try a set of matching pendants, 1 is different...they could be used as mother/daughter set, bridal set, sisters set...whatever. I am just looking for honest opinions on what to charge, because I am unsure. These are the minimum to the maximum "I" feel they are worth...but what do I know? If you have a different number in mind, let me know. About the pendants: Jade stones, 3 matching are 2" tall x 3/4" wide, different pendant is 2 1/2" tall x 3/4" wide. The stones were cabbed by me, have a bevelled edge and flat polished face. There is 164 combined inches of square sterling silver wire, and about 5 feet of sterling 1/2 round wire, and they took about 5 hours to wrap. (give or take ) Here's the photos: There are a few differences in the matching pendants, so you can tell them apart. If you feel they ain't worth a dime, just say so....I want HONEST opinions.....please. Thanks for helping me out on this....I REALLY appreciate it!!!! And thanks for lookin'!!! ;D ;D Marie

Marie - IMHO, I'd say no LESS than $40 for the smaller ones. Of course, I haven't sold anything in so long, I obviously have no clue! ;D

If they are just agates or ordinary jaspers or something similar in price and quality, I would charge $45.00 to $55.00 each. Opals, Jade and more valuable stones would be more. I am not sure how much Jade is worth. I would charge 45 for the smaller ones and 55 for the larger one plus a bit more for the fact that they are jade.
I love the set, they are all beautiful.

Just my opinion, start with what you think they are worth, and if they don't sell, keep dropping the price and let the market tell you what they think they are worth. Also keep in mind that anything is only worth what some one is willing to pay for it. I really don't mean this to be discourageing in any way. I was only trying to help. I think your pieces are very nice and I don't think you'll have any problem selling them. Good luck to you and let us know

I love the pendants! You have done a beautiful job on the wraps. You've used a lot of sterling silver and time to wrap the stones which you also cabbed. Don't cheat yourself, this is an artist at work and it's valuable.

Marie, I would charge $55 for the small ones and $65 for the larger, those are always my starting prices no matter what the stone is when I'm selling silver wraps. As the stones get more expensive or even just more unique then the prices go up. I've had no problem selling pieces for these prices and yours are absolutely beautiful so I wouldn't undervalue your work if I were you, because it's gorgeous =)

Well.....The stone is what got me on these....i haven't a clue what this Jade is worth. Would this be considered nephrite Jade? See....I dunno what any of the stones are worth, I just cab them and wrap them, and hope they sell. But...I get all these people telling me I dont charge enough, then I see a pair of earrings they are trying to sell for 200.00....ok....so I am not in to ripping anyone off like that, sorry...so it leaves me completely perplexed. All help is appreciated, cuz I obviously do not know how to price my stuff. Thank you to all of you who commented I really appreciate the advice, and will take it in heed. I also appreciate all the nice things you have said about my work. Thanks, marie

Marie, just a little short story. My cousins had a country band and a good one I might add. There is a large Italian population in this area and they never got booked to do the Italian weddings, which were very large affairs. They finally asked a person that booked bands why they couldnt do any of those weddings. He told them they played too cheap. They doubled their price and got almost every one of them. They liked to brag about how much the band cost them.Dont know how this logic applies to wirewraps, but it might.

Ok.....so, I am thinking.....starting at 249.00? You think that's a good starting place? I mean, i have asked for advice before on pricing, and haven't gotten any response, I think folks don't like to "tell" someone what their work is worth, I think if I knew what my STONES were worth is would help me in soooo many ways. Snuffy, I have heard this theory before too.....I tried hiking my prices up a bit, but that's when my sales dropped......I dunno if it was that, or if it was the time of year, or what.

Marie, My wife & I are just drooling over your wraps on etsy. Your etsy prices are way too low for in-person craft fairs. I have friends who buy a $15 - $50 Tiffany Stone cab, wrap it with as much silver as you, but not as good & get $150 - $700!
I think your wraps with the jade wouldn't fetch those prices, but higher end stones combined with your cool wraps would justify the high prices.
I would try to get $250 - $300 for your set of 4.
I hope you sell everything you show this weekend!
