Howdy folks, had a little free time last Wednesday while my wife was at class and I was lacking supervision *S* so I hit my favorite gravel pile again. Didn't find much, mostly tumbling stuff but here are pics of a few interesting finds. Flint I guess, but it looks very similar to Parral Dendritic Agate: Red and gold moss agate: I know this is just flint but it has some nice color and makes great tumbles. And finally and banded agate of the bacon agate type:

I wish I had that gravel pit. That red and gold moss agate is beautiful.

I think I would be stopping by that gravel pit to see about some high grading.......if of course they would allow that. Woody

Woody: I've talked to those folks who have visited the pit and they say the oversize rock pile is immense and full of moss agate. Not sure if they ever open it except for clubs though. keep waiting for my club to have a fieldtrip down there.....Mel

Mel those are some fine rocks. Just wish we had gravel like that here.
