Two weeks ago Friday I received a $400+ order that I had placed with Rio Grande. $300 of that order was for a Foredom flexshaft kit, that self-destructed on me within two hours of using that evening. On the following Monday I called Rio Grande, spoke to two different people and was assured that a prepaid shipping label would be sent to me to return the faulty foredom. Fast forward 4 days, no return shipping label yet, so I called Rio Grande again and asked for an update. I was assured that the label had been sent out on 10/25 and that it would be there anytime. As of Wednesday this week still no label, so Thursday morning I call again. This time I was promised to be sent another shipping label in the mail. Well, I don't want to wait another week or two for something that may not arrive, so I asked if there was a faster way in which the label could be sent and after pressing a little, the support rep said that the label could be emailed to me that day so I could print the label and get the faulty equipment sent on it's way. I give her two different email addresses which the label could be sent to and she promised that I would receive the email later that day. Well, it's Friday now, and guess what? no email from Rio Grande for the return shipping label. I've checked the spam boxes of both email accounts and nothing...so now I have to call them again this morning and find out just what the hell their problem is.
I'm surprised at the trouble I'm having with them. I can't possibly be the first person to need to return something! I am going to let Foredom know about my lack luster experience with Rio Grande as well...
I was planning on placing another order with Rio after receiving my credit for the faulty equipment, but now I'm not so sure I want to deal with them any more.
