I lived in Havasu for 15 years...I suggest avoid the london bridge resort and the older hotels in the area like the plague, as they are really run down. The English village is pretty much shut down as well, although it is still fun to go down and walk around the bridge if you haven't seen it before. The best area to walk/shop/dine near the bride is on the island side of the bridge these days.

maryann...right now i am gonna say yes....with little brother passing it will strap me for cash somewhat...as we now have 2 mortgages to pay....but since we fly free....i believe we can still pull it off i hope.
redrockrods or anyone....how do i tell what hotels are on the island side versus the other?...kev.

Kev, look at the google maps for the hotels. the island is the western most peninsula that was separated from the main land by the channel that was dug to put the bridge over. My cautions in the previous post was against the older hotels in general, and specifically the london bridge resort...the older hotels tend to be really worn out from all the years of heavy use by summer time party-goers. The newer hotels in the area tend to be on the island, although there are some losers over there too...check the reviews on hotels.com for specific hotel recommendations.

Kevin if I was going to stay anywhere I would pick the Parker area to stay looked more like your kind of place lol. Really I just liked the area better than Havasu its closer to. George

That's cool Mary Ann, can't wait to see you guys.
Sherri, I don't think anyone has planned anything yet. We were waiting to see how many plan on coming then figure something out. Since you're bringing your buns I'll chip in a wiener. lol

Mike Looking forward to meeting you too Mike. There aren't many motels between Phoenix and Quartzsite, if any, unfortunately. Your best bet might be to check online for Blythe, CA which I think is about 22 miles west of Quartzsite.
