I went to Houston Gem and Mineral Society show last week, with an eye to buy. I got some dino bone (always go right to the same guy's booth) and some real nice thick slabs of tiger's eye. Here are some other things I picked up. I'm really looking forward to playing with some of this stuff. The seller called this tiger iron or rainbow jasper. The slabs are about 3/8 inch Sagenite and cherry creek jasper Nice hunk of gemmy looking dino bone Not bad for $3 Stone canyon, I believe Couple imperial jasper Chrysocolla and chrysocolla in quartz Interesting agate. Pretty thick slabbette -- I think I can get two slabbettes out of each Thanks for looking. matt

The sag is Pom Pom Agate and looks like you got some good stuff. The last pic is Three Rivers Agatized wood - great for cabbing!

You sure have some wonderful finds here and that price on the Malachite is amazing! You have so many great ones, it will be hard to decide what to try first! Fran

Thanks for the ID, Riverbend. The dealer kept calling the three rivers agatized wood moss agate, even when I questioned whether it was pet wood. Then again, the guy who sold me the stone canyon jasper said he had been told it was pietersite (which it definitely is not).
