For the past few days I've eyeballed this piece of Coral I had laying around I got from Jeff. Finally a lightbulb clicked and this is what I made. I free-formed/contoured polished this piece and impressed with the way it turned out. Great stone to work with! I cut a flat face for the base and used the natural shape of the stone to guide the shape. I left the natural white skin to show the original texture, plus I think it highlights the polished face. The only bad thing I have to say is today when I ground and polished it, it was only high 30's and dang cold with the hose spraying water. Talking snow tomorrow. Enjoy! Jason

It's not too large, runs right at a 10 pound piece. Actually a real small piece from some of the chunks I've seen in pictures Jeff sent me.

Looks neat. I like the contrast of white with polished areas.

Hmmm - I'm sure we can work something out. If I keep this up I'll be running out of Coral soon. The next one I think will blow this one out of the water. Next candidate will have more pollups across the entire face. - Now if I can get any temps over 35 degree's I'll be in business to start grinding again. Something about wet grinding in the snow/freezing rain, just sucks lol.
