The colors in this stone don't come out well on photos. It is black with red jasper and hematite. Sorry for the reflections of the house on the stone. I wrapped it in 21g sq copper with 28g red and black colored round wire for the weaves. 21g half round copper for the wraps. The whole thing only took about 4 hours to do. I decided not to weave the bail as that would make all the copper at the bottom of the stone. the back the sideviews What do you think? A bit much or does it work? Amy

I don't think it's "too much", but close. I do like the style. Nice work! Sounds like you're getting a rhythm down with the weaving.

Well, this is just my opinion...You didn't go far enough ;D I think the black swirl looks wonderful with the copper. The red doesn't quite do it for me and I really suspect it is the gaps. I think if it is the solid wrap of red all the way around those loops without the gaps, it would really sharpen it up and bring the wrap from really good to fantastic. What you are doing though shows some amazing talent, well beyond anything I have done! Fran

Fran, that's exactly what I was thinking. Next time no gaps.
Agatgrrrl, just call me anytime.
Thanks everyone for our input. I appreciate the honesty.

The weaving is wonderful, you are very creative with it too. I think the wire is a little too much for the cab but I prefer simple (although sometimes my wraps look like I went swirly crazy...lol).
