Hello! :help: I was hoping someone here could give me a little guidance. I'd like to buy my mother-in-law a rock tumbler for Christmas. She got one from a garage sale about 6 months ago and it no longer works. I have no clue what brand or model it is. I don't want to get her one intended for children, but I also don't want to get her one that will be expensive for her to maintain. (I know she would never purchase a new one for herself.) Any suggestions would be great. I'd like to spend about $100. Thanks!

Kingsley North has several good tumblers in that price range. You can read their online catalog at www.kingsleynorth.comDon

The therockshed.com/ has some great prices and they give you a discount on their tumble rough 20% and 10% on grit if you buy one from them. They have great customer service to boot, lots of folks on here use them. George

Those are both great sources for Lortone tumblers. You can also check Cabellas and other reloading supplies sources for Thumler's Tumblers. Both Lortone and Thumler's are made in USA, made to last, and have normal wear parts readily available. If Mom's tumbler is a Chicago Electric, buy a Lortone and tell her to save the CE drums to use on it. I think Thumler's is a better tumbler but the lids on the smaller models re hard to deal with until you get used to them.
