The thicker this material is , the deeper the blue , although the color does vary ,light ,dark by nodge ,or formation . no formation here though , nodges scattered from glaciers . I cut this thin one , just to see how it looked .

Thses look really cool Ted. I picked up some nodules like this while hiking / scouting around deer hunting a few weeks ago. I thought it was plain old quartzite, but see there's more to it than that.

yeah frane , the variance of coloring and pattern change , makes them fun to hunt . Its exciting to cut them , cause they always have a brown crust , then bam , blue ?!
Nate - You may have quartzite , it is very prevelant here , lots of different colors . As you can see the dumo has a crust , so Your gonna have to cut em .the quartzite i find does not usually have a crust , sometimes has caliche . And i want to see em !!!

I was going to take the girls to a rock show tomorrow, but we'll be getting a ton of snow, so I think we'll be stuck home. Instead I'll bundle up and chop 'em open for ya Ted. Maybe I'll get some more cabbing done too...

Hey Ted, are you looking for anything particular, as in something I can send you in trade? I have quite a bit now just laying around the new house. How about some of these Ammonites? I have bags full of stuff...so addicting!
