What is a good day trip for this area. I know about the Garnets, would like maybe some Jade, some color. about all I can do is a day trip. We are new to this wonderful hobby and would like to try to find some of our own gems. Any help would be be taken in and thought about. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tammy

In another post, you asked about amber. I have a friend in Washington who takes school kids out 1 or 2 times per year to collect amber. I'll see if I can find his trip reports, and post a link for them too. Don

If you don't mind going a little ways further south, you might want to try the Biggs, Oregon area. Home of the famous Biggs picture jasper, and several other agate and jasper types.
