Anyone out there with minisonic tumblers ever thought about mounting a lap plate on one of the hoppers? I have been wanting to try it. I was thinking something small, not much bigger than the hoppers themselves. Maybe connect it to the lid then find a way to keep it level?
And what about the "motor" rating? I don't want to overload the machine.
Thanks, Steve

I think it would work fine as long as the overall weight ended up the same as the stansard hopper with a full load of rocks, since the machine is set up for that sized load. I think I would probably make up a hardwood or aluminum base that would fit into the vibrating unit and be shorter than the hopper, to keep it from being topheavy,

What Lee said about weight. There is no motor to worry about so as long as you don't really go crazy you should be OK. You didn't say what size Mini you have.
