I am tumbling agate in a Lortone 6 lb. tumbler. I put 10 TBS of grit in a week ago and am wondering how important is it to recharge the grit? In checking the load should I pull out all the stones, rinse and check each stone individually? Thanks for your help.

That's a lot of grit. I would pull a few stones and check. Also feel the grit and try to gauge if it is still gritty or a smooth slurry. If it is completely broken down rinse and start over. Generally 1 tablespoon per pound will work for 60/90 and 120/220 and about 3/4 for finer grits.
