I think they are the same. Both notched (crimped?), and both have the same thickness. I would go with the one on sale!

Yep, really a pretty good blade too. I used up a couple of them and they are a bit thinner than the continuous rim type ( MK 303). I think the continuous rim cuts a bit faster and is a bit less expensive though. I've used them too and like them even a little better. I switched to continuous rim after Barranca sold their blade repairing machinery. Barranca only repaired the notched rim 301s.....Mel

Thank you, I was on the computer all morning long, looking for the best deal on American made Blades. Three years ago I bought the Mk- 301, Gemking, I think it was $365.00 and like $30.00 shipping. The blade still cuts but when it come to the Petrified Wood and Flint it doesn't cut it like it used to. Just about every time I clean out the sludge and before I add oil, I run an Angle Grinder across the blade, that usually keeps it sharp till the next cleanning. Today I ran across a company called Panther Industrial, and what a good price they have on MK blades and free shipping on 199.00 plus orders. I ordered a blade and about an hour after I did, the guy that runs the company called, just to varify my order. I know this should have been posted on the good, bad and ugly, I figure I started it here might as well finish it here. Any way check it out. www.pantherindustrial.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=715

I don't think MK is made in the USA anymore.

The first link is the current 301 blade (made in same Korean factory as the 303 blades). They are great blades. The second link is showing the old style blade that was made in US. They have not made blades for at least 3 years. They kept the same 301 model/pricing. Be aware that MK distributes many construction related blades that won't work well for rock. Always make sure you are buying lapidary blades not concrete/asphalt, etc. Some of the blades look the same but have varying hardness matrix makeup depending on what they are designed to cut. Just for concrete they have green, cured, concrete with rebar, and so forth. By the way, even though I think it is sad there are no US made blades anymore, the new style 301 blade is far superior to any of the older blades.
