I posted a bit of this over in one of Donnie's threads as I knew she was from Florida.
We are going to Florida this summer for the 10th International CHARGE Syndrome Conference the end of July. My wife will be a guest speaker this year so the entire family is going, course they'll want to see my daughter Jillyan at the conference as she's the kid with CHARGE. Anyway, it's at the end of July and I was going to see how many other members I can bump into while down there. Be in Orlando a few days then staying at my cousin's on Sand Key, just outside of Clearwater, for a few days. The CHARGE foundation and the federal government are paying for our trip down and putting us up at some fancy place called Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, guess it's like off of Universal Blvd so in a fun spot.
Anyway, I'm just along for the ride so thought it might be fun to try and find a few members. If not, maybe somebody can give me some ideas on where to look for "stuff" while down there. Someplace near Sand Key would be best, as while we're there I'll be doing nothing but sitting and relaxing.
So, I'm totally and entirely excited! 12 hour drive down there but sounds like it's going to be worth it! Anyone with suggestions on easy and fun places to go rock/fossil hounding would be most welcome!
