i started busting up some of the rocks out of the rock garden. they look like some kind of picture jasper and i scratched them with a nail and it made a metal mark that you can basically wipe off. did the same thing with my husband's hunting knife which i assume is steel but what do i know about knives. so what do they mean by "scratch" - a true indention or scratch that you can't wipe off? i went and got a piece of jasper that i purchased (that way i knew it was jasper) and scratched them together and they don't scratch each other. as long as they don't scratch each other they can be tumbled together?

thanks wiz - i came in from busting to get a bandaid (but just a bandaid and not stitches lol) and checked out page 6. that's what i needed to know.
maybe i need some workgloves for this. we aren't going to have any tupperware bowls or containers of any kind left.

i work for my father in law and we have two back hoes. a cople of good shots with the back bucket should work for breaking them up. if they are to big i'll have to become more friendly with the people at the concrete recycle plant we dump at, maybe for a couple of bucks they will crush up a load for me
