Hey all!!
Finally sat down with my huge haul and posting the outcome.
I did go on the field trip yesterday and it was good to see Rob again and meet some other newer members. Very Cool!
The weather was perfect!!!!!! Not too hot or cool. I wore my RTH t-shirt with pride and a couple of members may want to get one too. They thought the "no rock is safe" slogan is pretty funny!.
It was a decent little hike and lots of brush and Yucca. I have the cuts, pokes, and stabs to prove it.
I had a great time for about 3 hours. Got some much needed exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. From my understanding, there are ridges on both sides of where we were that have pet wood as well. But it would have taken me forever to get to either side to check it out. Maybe I will find someone to go with me one day or on the next trip to that area, I will go out on one of the other two instead of the ridge I was on. Mother nature only gives up what she wants to give up and when. It is okay something to look forward to.
Now ... for the pictures of my haul (yep 1 piece of pet wood and 1 shell) ... Enjoy ;D
Then Rob found several pieces and gave me these 3 They are the size of the quarter.
