I'm so easily distracted, but thanks to meeting regularly with a fellow wrapper, this is what I've been doing recently. Some metallic stone that I got at a rock shop. Oh, it was messy! Turned the water black, but I love the result. Ocho geode. I love the patterns and swirls, and can stand there for hours, going through a box of these at the local rock shop! Lace agate, russian jade bead, and freeform pearl.

Lotsa hematite in that first one, huh? I've not seen very much of your work, but sure hope you post more. These are amazing!

Wonderful wraps. Very complicated. I can't even tell how you did it. Great job.

Thanks for the nice comments. I do a quick lurk usually 'cause I always need a rock fix.

How long do they take? They are quite complex...

I never really keep track, but not including the cab time, the wrapping might be 4-6 hours, give or take. Not in one sitting, I need think time often when I'm 'stuck' and set it down for awhile.

Dee, it has been far too long since I have seen your work on this board! On that second wrap; is the wire on the right side a solid piece that looks beaded or is it tiny beads along two sides of that wire? Either way, it is a great addition to that piece! Fran

Hi Frane! I think what you're looking at is a pewter lizard charm that's climbing up the side. I have fun with charms, and sneak them in when I can.
