We finally got an agreement with the Tuscon Gem and Mineral Society to show our display case at their show. It took a while because they insist that you use their cases and you have to specially make your own liners and no holes in their cases not even thumbtack ones. Unfortunately I have to have a hole through the back of the case to run a power cord for my turntable. The turntables are battery powered but the batteries only last 12 hours. This doesn't work for two day or longer shows. The Tuscon show is a four day event. I had converted the turntable to run on 110 volts many years ago. Also, I have three lights in my case to properly light my goblet and the Catseye Obsidian. After a lengthy letter and verbal discussions they agreed to let me use my case. I understand their desire to keep the cases all looking alike because some guest exhibitor's cases can be pretty ratty and beat up. Its been over 20 years since I was there last and frankly I don't recall even what their cases look like. Its going to be a fun trip, though.
Is anybody going to be there between Tuesday the 8th through Sunday the 14th? Maybe we can meet up and chat some.

We're headed there this Friday. Gonna spend a week or so just outside of Tucson. I may be early and miss you. If we're still there when you arrive on the 8th, I'll let you know. Hope to see you there.

Jo, where are you staying? We are going to the Pima County Fairgrounds tomorrow. A little East of town but convenient for Electric Park. Bob, we are scheduled to work through the 7th with Barranca. Last year we were scheduled for 7 days but ended up to be 13. If we get free time we'll try to meet up somewhere.

We'll be in Picacho, about an hour west on I-10. Stayed there on our way here to Q and liked the campground. Gonna see Saguaro National Park too. See you there John!!! Jo
