Here's a couple I finished up last night. The lapis is for a client, but I'm not to happy with the finish on it. I might take it back down to 600 to try and remove the hair line fractures and then repolish. The willow creek was from stoneviews and was a real pleasure to work with. I will definitely be wanting more of this material.

Those are beautiful, I've always loved Willow Creek since I first got in to rocks. That's a grade A piece. Very cool!!

I love that willow creek too. It's gorgeous! As for the lapis, I love the color and your polish is amazing on it, but I could see trying to get rid of that vug in it.

I tried googling Willow Creek but came up empty handed. Is it called something else? Love both of them.

I'm switching to diamond paste for my polishing. I'm hoping to get the paste in the mail tomorrow (probably will be saturday lol). This willow creek inspired me to dig through my stash and find a small slab in a box Amber had sent me long ago. I cut out a preform and will wait to cut it on my new set up.

I think they look beautiful! I would probably work the lapis a little more but then again, sometimes you just leave them be! It has great color too! Fran

Fran, yeah I reworked the lapis, took it back to 600 grit and then hand sanded it on 1000, and then 2000 grit paper and polished with zam. you can see the new finish on it in the lapis wrap thread I posted. It's not quite as glossy now, but the overall finish is much better. the diamond paste undercuts too badly.

I had a bleaching issue with the willow creek when I soaked it in acetone to get it off of the dop stick (used super glue). Here's how the stone changed - left is after acetone: Looks like the stone is back to normal now though. guess it needed several hours to dry out again and get rid of the acetone.
