Over the last year I've been gathering parts needed for a homemade tumbler and now all that remains is to find a capable motor. I have the opportunity to purchase a 1/15hp for a very reasonable price. My maximum total load would be about 20lbs using three barrels. Would this motor be sufficient or should I be looking for something like 1/8 or 1/6hp?
Thanks.

I've read people say to go talk to a heating/cooling contractor. You can possibly get a good motor from an old furnace for free. I'm assuming it'll be a 1/3 hp, which should be plenty strong enough. Just make sure it's continuous duty.

1/15 is what my AR-12 uses- I would go to at least a 1/8- 1/3 would be ideal.
